Yep! I can't believe you can tell. Out of all the little coffee shops it could've been, too!
Do your Stateside homiez give you a hard time when you say 'ta'? I picked up a few Australianisms from my time in Melbs... still got 'em.
So far, I haven't used "ta" around anybody from home. I'm sure I'd catch hell from them. Although, being a permanent resident of Australia gives me the right to use whatever slang I want, I reckon.
