i know - it's a tragedy. I use them for drafting and can't quite bring myself to use *shudder* greylead..
You should have a look at Prismacolor pencils. They're a really good brand that animators use.
I'm needing to order some more myself at some stage as I'm about to run out.
I found a set of Sandford 2mm leads for $50 on the internet. That's the best I could do. That and write some hate mail to Staedtler.
