a readership is something to enjoy from a distance, i think. don't let it mess with with the purity of somthing that is your work.
Don't sweat the audience.
When I started a blog, the audience came gradually. My interaction with them and approach to writing it evolved as I went.
I think sticking to a daily basis keeps it manageable, and kudos for hanging in so far!
